A Business Born in the Rain
It started in 1932 when Isadore Flader, a Polish immigrant in Toronto, began repairing umbrellas door to door. When he heard that Vancouver got more rain, he moved his family and opened the first Vancouver Umbrella shop on West Pender Street. His great granddaughter, Shana Hochfelder, joined full-time in 1992 and focused on building relationships with corporate clients.
After landing a local brewery as her first partner, she saw what most people missed. Branded umbrellas could be useful, durable, and memorable. Today, Shana leads a proudly Canadian, family-owned, women-led business that ships custom umbrellas across Canada.

Local orders: 7 to 10 business days. Need it faster? Contact us early - rush options might be available.
Offshore orders: 90 to 110 days production time.
